This type of home insurance ensure that the structure of your home is protected and typically includes the following:
• Walls, roof, and floors – Covers damage from events like fire, flooding, storms, or subsidence.
• Permanent fixtures – Built-in items such as kitchen units, bathroom fittings, and sometimes outbuildings.
• Rebuilding costs – Covers expenses if your home needs to be rebuilt due to a major disaster.

Contents cover provides you with insurance to protect your belongings inside of your home and ensures protection for your cherished items. This cover typically includes:
• Furniture and electronics – Sofas, beds, tables and chairs, TVs, laptops and items.
• Personal possessions – Some policies include protection for items taken outside, like phones or bicycles, Clothes, jewellery, watches, valuables.
• High value items – Specific items can be included within the policy to ensure that these are individually noted and covered within the contents insurance policy.
Many insurance providers offer various ‘add-ons’ to their home insurance plans and it can be difficult to understand what these extras cover you for, and if you really need them. We can talk you through these optional add-ons with you, and understand your situation in more detail, to help you decide if the extra protection and higher level of cover is required. • Accidental Damage Cover which protects against sudden, unintentional, and unforeseen incidents, such as smashing a window with a football, spilling paint on a carpet or hammering a nail into a pipe and can be offered for both buildings and contents cover.
• Personal Possessions Cover which extends protection to items taken outside the home, like jewellery, laptops, or bicycles.
• High-Risk Item Cover offers additional protection for valuable possessions, such as musical instruments, artwork, or expensive electronics.
• Bicycle Cover to specifically insure bikes against theft or damage, whether at home or while riding.
• Freezer Food cover for replacement of your freezer or fridge, caused by a breakdown, power cut, or blown fuse.
• Enhanced cover over Christmas and weddings.
• Cover in the garden for furniture and plants.
• If you are working from home then cover can be extended to cover business equipment, such as laptops and PCs.
• Alternative accommodation cover provides cover to temporary accommodation for your family and pets if your home is not safe to live in following an insured event.
• Lock replacement insurance so that if your keys are lost or stolen, cover can be provided for the locks to be replaced so you are safe and sound in your home.
• Home Emergency Cover will include the organisation and payment for an approved tradesman to provide emergency assistance and repairs from heating to roofing and even pest infestation.
• Legal Expenses Cover to help with legal costs related to property disputes, employment issues, or personal injury claims.
